The Masonic & Military Order of the Red Cross of Constantine consists of three Degrees, named Knight-Mason, Priest-Mason (or Venerable Eusebius), and Prince-Mason. The 2nd and 3rd degrees are usually only conferred on those elected to the two ruling chairs of a local Conclave, although there are exceptions. The ceremonies of the Order are based upon the story of the Emperor Constantine, who first legalised the Christian faith.
The Order also administers two other unrelated degrees, known as the "Appendant Orders". These are the Order of the Holy Sepulchre, and the Order of St John the Evangelist. Having joined the Red Cross of Constantine, a member must take these Appendant Orders before progressing to the 2nd and 3rd Red Cross degrees. The Appendant Orders ceremonies are amongst the most spectacular in English Freemasonry, and are usually only worked once or twice within each Division of the Order annually.
Candidates for our Order must be Trinitarian Christians, and must be Royal Arch Masons.
